El Cónsul General de Guatemala en Houston, Texas, José Barillas, anunció un consulado móvil en la ciudad de Little Rock, Arkansas, del sábado 30 al domingo 31 de julio de 2016.
Barillas y su personal estarán en Little Rock para proveer asistencia a los guatemaltecos que viven en esa zona. Ellos tramitarán los documentos necesarios para los que necesitan obtener registros de nacimiento, pasaportes o tarjetas de identificación.
El consulado móvil de Guatemala se instalará en el Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road. El horario para el sábado es de las 8 a.m. a 4 p.m., y el domingo de las 8 a.m. a 2 p.m.
Los que necesiten conseguir un pasaporte o una tarjeta consular deberán presentar uno de los siguientes documentos: Tarjeta de identificación, Documento Personal de Identificación (DPI) o certificado de nacimiento expedido por el Registro Nacional de las Personas (RENAP) y un pasaporte.
En cuanto a los servicios consulares, los costos incluyen $65 por un pasaporte y $25 por una tarjeta de identificación consular. Todos los pagos se deben realizar con un giro postal (Money Order).

Consul General of Guatemala to Provide Mobile Consulate in Little Rock, Arkansas
The Consul General of Guatemala in Houston, Texas, Jose Barillas, announces a mobile consulate in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, from Saturday, July 30 to Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Barillas and his staff will be in Little Rock to provide assistance to Guatemalans living in the area. They will be working to process the necessary documents for those needing to obtain birth certificates, passports or consular identification cards.
The mobile Guatemalan consulate will arrive at the Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road. Saturday hours will be between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those wishing to obtain a passport or consular identification card should bring one of the following: Identification card, Personal Identification Document (DPI) or both a birth certificate expedited by the National Registry of People (RENAP) and a passport.
In providing consular services, some possible charges include $65 for a passport and $25 for a consular identification card. Payments should be made via cash or money order.
